As a woman what gives you your strength? As a woman in today’s world, my strength comes from having a good set of core family values and having a positive outlook on life. Strength also comes from my faith and lots of determination. I also draw strength from my successes (like becoming a firefighter, beginning to conquer my fear of snakes, receiving my certification to drive an Emergency Command Post Vehicle.) but also a few defeats along the way. Strength also comes from being adaptable to change and striving to make things just a little bit better along the way. But most of all my strength comes from staying true to myself and remaining faithful in all things.
Briefly state in your own words something about yourself that you want people to know.
I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor and loving life! My favorite past times includes spending time with my husband at the beach and traveling; planning and hosting parties for family and friends; and girls days out (Yep! This also includes a little bit of shopping!).
It is a great honor to participate as a member of the 2012 Celebration of Life Dance Team. I would like to especially thank Kathy Childers and my husband who encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and into my comfortable dancing shoes.
One person CAN make a difference......be that person
